Kombucha F2 bottling — G+GOZ F1 blend base, watermelon pulp/juice, no added sweetener, split across 3 jars
Watermelon G Goz Blend
Ingredients:
- G+GOZ F1 kombucha blend (Kombucha F1 — G and Kombucha F1 — GOZ poured together, both F1 complete) — fills most of each jar
- 250–300 mL watermelon pulp/juice per jar (~800 mL total across 3 jars)
- A splash of plain water per jar, just to even out the levels between jars
- No added sweetener — relying on residual sugar from the F1 base and the watermelon itself
Instructions:
- Pour the finished G and GOZ F1 batches together into one blend.
- Puree/juice watermelon; measure out roughly 250–300 mL per jar (~800 mL total for 3 jars).
- Divide the watermelon pulp/juice evenly across three ~1.5 L clip-on jars.
- Top each jar up with the G+GOZ blend, filling most of the jar’s volume.
- Add a small splash of plain water to each jar as needed so all three end up at roughly the same fill level.
- Seal and store warm; burp daily to release pressure and avoid over-pressurized jars.
- Taste-test from day 2 onward; refrigerate once flavor and fizz hit your preference.
Notes:
- No sweetener added this round — if carbonation is slow to develop, that’s the residual-sugar tradeoff; a future batch could add a small amount of raw cane sugar if a faster/stronger carbonation is wanted.
- Clip-on jars (~1.5 L) hold more headspace than a typical 500 mL swing-top bottle — burp at least once daily regardless, more often in warm weather, same as any F2.
- Log final observations (taste, carbonation level, days fermented) for future reference — see the
kombucha-f1-g-goz-f2-watermelon-1/2/3trackers.
